Passing through London?

If you need to pass through London on your way to or from somewhere, or if you live in London, think about visiting the London Esperanto Club in its new premises at the London Irish Centre, 50-52 Camden Square, London, NW1 9XB. If you are a stranger to London then phone David Thornell on 020 7722 5360 or Arturo Prent on 01277 228 962 for advice, maybe they casn find someone to meet you and take you to the Club. The London Esperanto Club meets every Friday evening from 7pm until 10 pm. Most times there is an interesting programme of lectures and discussions. Usually there are several visitors from near and distant lands. Refreshmentsd are of course available.

Summer Festival at Barlaston, England. August 12-18 2006

Every summer for many years there has been a most entertaining summer school and festival at Wedgwood Memorial College, near Stoke on Trent. This year there will be courses of differing lengths. Some last the whole week whilst others may last only two or three days. In addition there will be excursions, visits to the local tavern and so on. Or, you can relax, enjoy the company and the food (specially the food, for which the College has been famous for many years and has been responsible for adding inches to the wastelines of many Esperantists. You can use some of your free time in the Butler Library which is either the second or the third largest collection of Esperanto literature in the world.
